Why are you looking at CarrierIQ for information and not HTC? Look at how many devices have Carrier IQ hidden. HTC is just including 3rd party software. They have privacy policies everywhere for their programs, this is not just an HTC/Android issue.

You may have missed it, but there is no EULA for Carrier IQ, so our right to privacy is infringed upon instead of voluntarily given up. Root your phone and use NoBloat to disable(not delete) the Carrier IQ processes. Solved.

Is there a way to completely disable all connectivity of a phone to ANY network period? I would like to use one as a portable, long-lasting, programming comp/tablet, but I don't want anyone to be able to access jacksquat about what I am doing on it. How would I go about destroying any and all connectivity incoming/outgoing?
