This man is actually a genious... he solved the trusting problem by telling he going to use steal and split after the game and then force the other person to choose split 100% sure and then by doing that he can safely choose split.

that isnt logical, assuming that nick is going to steal, the only way you have of winning any money is if nick wins it and he keeps his word at sharing with you after. therefore why the hell would you pick steal when you know he's going to do the same; it would be the most stupid play. you are guranteeing yourself at 100% winning nothing

It's not the weirdest, it's truthfully (and ironically) the only honest non-greedy way of ensure you go home with money. Even if he had picked steal he would have split it. I dont know about abraham though...
