I can totally vouch for the President. I work in aerospace manufacturing for a small company of about 130 people. I've been with this company for 4 years, and during that time we've hired over 50 people, bought countless products and services from our equally small vendors, and are currently witnessing a growth spurt of 20% We're is just one medium size machine shop, but we do business with hundreds of other companies, large and small. Our industry is thriving, and so is our supply chain.

The Unemployment in New York City is 10%. We don't really have a manufacturing sector so this doesn't apply to us. Besides, if customers had jobs and therefore money to buy products, that would increase manufacturing jobs. So Obama, please take one month and get companies involved in a hiring spree. or maybe a one year hiring spree. It is the companies that have to draw the conclusion that hiring new talent will increase business revenue that will pay for hiring new talent.
