The government says it can search people up to 100 miles from the border. Almost 2/3 of Americans live within 100 miles of the border. Watch Vince Peppard of San Diego tell his story of being searched in the United States. Then contact the ACLU to find out more about this issue.

Wake up America, we are a police nation. It is a war on the citizens disguised as war on terror, drugs, etc. When the goverment makes laws like forcing a person to own health insurance, or controls the internet its citizens cease to be free. We the people have no one to blame but ourselvesb/c we elected them but we the people can correct this issue by resisting and rebooting the system. You all know its coming. They watch and monitor all postings so hello to the new SS who are watching.

Who will govern the governors? There is only one force in the nation that can be depended upon to keep the government pure and the governors honest, and that is the people themselves. They alone, if well informed, are capable of preventing the corruption of power, and of restoring the nation to its rightful course if it should go astray. They alone are the safest depository of the ultimate powers of government"

This is why you should always refuse to cooperate at these checkpoints. Never, EVER, talk to police or government goons without an attorney present. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! As a member of the ACLU, this guy should have known never to assume that just because you haven't done anything wrong, that a cop or federal agent will respect your rights. You do NOT have to show identification to prove you are a US citizen while travelling inside the US borders. /watch?v=u4Ku17CqdZg

My father-in-law had a girl from another marriage. She was a drug addicted low life scumbag, that had 7 children, abused, malnourished, and neglected. Cigarette burns, bruises and lived in filth. If it was not for a CPS worker, the outcome for those children wouldn't have been good. The youngest was 9 months, which we got custody of. They all are doing great, and are good kids with good grades.

Sounds like you are a deadbeat mom there Amy.

I agree with the ACLU in this case.

(just wanted to say that once in my life)

I agree that a CPS worker complaining about his rights being violated is cruel irony.

So the guy is retired at age 53?

Shouldn't he still be kidnapping children for the " some kinda police state."

Also, he retires before 53 from his cushy government job, but still won't buy US tile?

He's right in this case, but still a maggot.

His first mistake was answering any questions. Assert your right to remain silent and keep repeating "am I free to go", they are only allowed to detain you up to 5 minutes without probable cause. Why the ACLU does not advise this in the video is beyond me.

Perhaps, but the speaker did go over and wasn't one of the people to which you refer.
