I don't know, honestly we've had some pretty shit presidents. Bush (who left with a 22% approval rating) is the go to guy for that, but Carter, Truman (I know, scholars like him, though I don't know why), Hoover, Johnson, Buchanan really sucked, Nixon of course, Harding, LBJ kinda blew... They are all worse than Obama. At least thus far.

Yeah that, and that whole Vietnam thing. Plus being ridiculously out of touch with the people didn't help things either. Honestly, the only good thing about him at all was the EPA, the moon landing, and oddly enough, foreign affairs. (Outside of Indochina) Other than that he was utterly awful.

I wish we had Ron Paul running for president but since we don't let's go with Romney hoping that we will see changes that the country needs. However, in the end no candidate is a Savior or a Messiah, but I do believe that things are not going to get better if the country continues with the current administration

Lastly, Immigration - Depends on your stance, but he took focus off of young immigrants. "The Obama administration will no longer deport undocumented immigrants who came to the country before they were 16 and are currently younger than 30, have been in the country for five consecutive years, are either in school or have a high school diploma, a GED or have served in the military." He's also increased the amount of illegals with a criminal record to be deported by nearly 90 percent.

Basic Rights - Abortion. Romney is strongly pro-life, and wants to prevent things such as birth control to be included in government funded health-care. He's also flip-flopped a few times about Roe V Wade. A transparent attempt to look bi-partisan. (Sorry, could have fit that with the Civil Rights response)

Civil rights - Pro gay marriage, pro DREAM Act, signed Fair Sentencing Act, Allows people on medicare to choose who visits them in the hospital, and repealed "Don't ask, don't tell." Also signed Equal Pay Act, ensuring women have an easier time with the glass ceiling.
