May 10, 2012 - Mississippi State Representative Bubba Carpenter, at an Alcorn County GOP meeting, tells the audience that Republicans have figured out a way to stop abortions legally. He talks about the "other side" talking about poor women performing self-abortions with coat hangers and says: "We have to start somewhere."

Abortions are now illegal in Mississippi...........Which is true irony because if their was ever a state that needs to thin the herd and not reproduce the most ignorant slack, jawed, in bread, close minded, knuckle dragging primates, it would be M, I, crooked letter, crooked letter, etc etc. etc. smh

Actually 10,000s of women in Romania in the 1980s died from backstreet abortions. Every year still in countries where abortion is illegal 69000 women die a year while in the USA 7 died. The only study that suggests psychological scarring was a 2009 study that failed to differentiate between causation and correlation and do you not think that being forced to carry a foetus against your will might cause significantly more mental health problems.

Poor Bubba from what he says you can tell he's never actually been to the clinic someone just told him these things and he believed them. I have met him and he really believed this bill would protect women he's a paramedic and I believe is heart is in the right place he is just VERY misguided!

@ProLifeModerate well i do think women should control themselves better- it is immatue. However, the problem starts with sex education. A lot of southern schools still teach abstinence instead of real education. And they don't provide prevention options to students. There should be a planned parenthood in MI. that would certainly help the problem.

@Dougie1316 You don't have to have an abortion. it upsets me that you are uneducated and want to force your religion on people.

@MyWebsite2006 how is it a myth- we barely have enough resources to support everyone now. i take it that you are from the south because people are uneducated there.

So glad I don't live in the US. NZ is freer and more democratic. Not to mention women's rights being of paramount importance.

Is Bubba speaking English or gibberish? I grew up in the south and I can't understand half of what he said. Just as well since I don't have much patience with those who are self-imposed idiots.
