Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar(R) winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar(R) winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose"), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar(R) winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar(R) winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") reprises the role of Lucius Fox. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on "Batman Begins" and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

Like Zack Snyder said, "Marvel movies are fun, but DC movies are important."

You can tell Marvel is going to milk the their franchise dry (limitless sequels and prequels and joint films)

I just hope DC stays true to their fans. Nolan ended his massively successful trilogy as THAT; a trilogy, even when he was offered tons of money to bring back HIS batman for Justice League of America

Iron man 3? Are you serious? Without Robert Downey Jr. that film would be nothing, you can't even mention iron man 3 when you're talking about the dark knight trilogy mate, that's just unfair. Nolan said that he didn't even wanted to film "the dark knight rises", but i think iron man 3 is just for kids maybe 10-14, just because of Robert downey jr, but the story? The dark knight trilogy is way darker...

Wait? I'm called stupid because I don't spend my money on comics and base my life around Batman? I think not. I just assumed they had some sort of correlation to batman as a whole but it seems the characters stay the same but the story changes. I'm just ignorant in the batman series and i was wondering so i asked the question? I think you need to get off your keyboard warrior...

DEAD WRONG. The Avengers was much better and more entertaining than TDKR. TDKR was the most overrated movie of 2012. Worst movie in the Nolan trilogy. Killed with plot-holes and has several flaws.
