Peter Snyder, Ph.D., vice president of research at Lifespan, and his colleagues received the Ig Nobel award on Thursday, September 29 (see: http://improbable.com/ig/ ) for their study on how postponing the urge to void and the pain it causes can impact cognition, and can have the same effect as low levels of alcohol or sleep deprivation. I am a grad student in NJ and I have done a little bit of pain test and behavioral tests that involve neurological assays. Your study is an eye-opener because when I think of research I always think of big research projects with lots of money and often times money in research is always low...

Just saw this from another site. Had to favorite this. I actually could have confirmed the accuracy of your results YEARS ago! lol! If my 15 yo autistic son can't concentrate, the first thing we ask him is if he needs to toilet! This started when he was about 6. So yeah! Excellent work! Congrats on the Ig-nobel! Keep up the good work.
