What happens if you put the cracked fossil in through the machine again? also I want one...

If you try to recharge a piece of acrylic that already has a figure in it, the discontinuities will cause the charge to escape almost immediately. New tracks will appear but will not show the same nice dendritic patterns.

Maybe things like this will help schools get better funding for their art departments. I could assume a particle accelerator is out of the question...but nevertheless. Art programs--fund them!

It's too bad you can't sell it charged up, or recharge it at home somehow. The discharge process is beautiful.
