Tavi Gevinson is editor-in-chief and founder of RookieMag.com and writes thestylerookie.com. Rookie, a site for teenage girls, broke 1 million page views within 5 days of launching in September of 2011, and contributors have included Miranda July, Dan Savage, Joss Whedon, JD Samson, Zooey Deschanel, Sady Doyle, Lesley Arfin, and Cindy Gallop. It has received praise from Weekend Edition Sunday on NPR, the New Yorker, and a number of other publications, and, most importantly, the girls who write in to the site. Tavi has also written for publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Jezebel, Lula, and Pop, and is a contributing editor to GARAGE magazine. She is 15 and a sophomore in high school, and also the author of an embarrassing diary recently found from the 6th grade.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Women do not want superiority, but equality. Women want to be paid the same amount as a man in the same work, have the opportunity to be a manager/leader of a team, be regarded as a person, not an object. Is this what you define as superior objectives? NO.

(continued). Do you ever hear 'feminists' say "I want more pay than men" or "I'm better than a man!"? No, you don't. You do however see women actively campaigning for equal rights.

*Sigh* Men don't have reproductive rights sweetheart. There is no equality where it counts.

Women have the pill, morning after pill, abortion, abandonment and FORCED enslavement of the man she had the pregnancy with.

Men have no choice. They must comply to will of the woman or face criminal charges, fines and imprisonment.

Her body, her choice. His body, also her choice. That equality to you? Worse yet, feminism as a collective initiated and maintains this specific inequality tooth and nail.

So you support feminism? I'm curious though, given that I know and can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that feminism, as a sum of it's parts, is a hate group and a female supremacy group I am very curious as to how you've come to associate with it.

What time have you spent perusing anti-feminist articles? I'd imagine very little. This is typical, but still disappointing.

I recommend fellow youtuber GirlWritesWhat for this. She is female so that will meet the sexist standards you stated here.

This isn't really even about rights, it's about representation.

The guy arguing against feminism is an idiot because his reasons are dumb. The fundamental belief I and many hold is that Patriarchy does not exist in civilized western countries. I would like you to perhaps present examples of why you think women have less opportunities or are discriminated against and perhaps some stats if you have any.I find that many statistics arguing feminism are misleading and incorrectly analyzed

Funny thing is, the person with the highest IQ is actually a female. 221 and higher of the charts

The problem with this logic is that's it's looking only at one side of the equation women work less dangerous, easier jobs, tends to study less and expect to be paid the same, how is this equality ? Women are considered more worthy than men since the dawn of time look at conscription, women first...ect. A man's only way to gain value is through his job and powerfull situation he NEEDS it to be desirable a women doesn't and that is still unfair for men in life/death situation Women>man every time
