Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is an indirect sequel to the horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent (http://amnesiagame.com).

"It's not a direct sequel, in terms of it doesn't follow on from the story of Amnesia. It doesn't involve the same characters," Dear Esther writer Dan Pinchbeck told me. Instead, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs will be set in the same "alternate history and set in the same universe.

AAMFP is a collaborative effort between Frictional Games and thechineseroom. Coming early 2013 (later release date due to overwhelming response, we want to make sure to meet the expectations).

This game won't fail anyone as long as you got used to the fact that there'll be pigs^^ I was a bit confused about this thing in the beginning, but now I think this game will fullfill our expectations! And the delay's okay, I still have to finish The Dark Descent as a Lets Play on my Youtube Channel ;)

I am fine with the waiting too.I just worry about the game - what if it fails?All the wait will be for nothing.I'm a big Amnesia fan,the first game was excellent and I hope that much of work be something good.

Looking forward to this! Its going to be fun to see how it differs from ATDD. I have faith in these developers though and im sure it will still be creepy and scary. That's why I love ATDD - to be creeped out while chasing down a story.

No, they said it would be before Halloween 2012, then it was delayed to early 2013 because of the overwhelming response towards it and they want to meet those expectations. Then they announced that it would be released in the second quarter of this year, which is April/May/June.

The game has become bigger and more fleshed out than they first imagined. I'm fine with it taking longer if it's going to be bigger and better.

Frictionalgames doesn't deserve the respect of ungrateful individuals.

First they said early 2013...then delayed it for couple months..and still the game is not released.They better do something good,because if this game fails,I lose my respect to frictionalgames.
