This is awesome! I am still skeptical, however, on everything that comes from Zenyatta and Rachel being monster race horses. Who is hardcore into breeding? I've seen plenty of horses debut as two year olds, with monster sires, who run up the track and are never heard from again.  What are the chances that happens? How many babies will the typical mare have in a lifetime?/how many of those babies tend to become graded stakes winners? Lol...I know, so many questions...please shed some light!

it depends on how the mare is. Some of the greatest mares in racing didnt produce any winners, and some of the "not so great" mares produced amazing foals! Like Shananigans, Ruffians dam

Bernardini was a great breeding choice. If you look at Baby Z now, he is really turning into a nice colt that has a lot of potential. Curlin's nice, but is still unproven as a sire. Two of the horses you've mentioned have been retired from stud before Zen even retired to breeding, so they're out of the question. And if you're comparing Bernardini to FP, Bernie has more winners and stakes winners out of his 3 crops of foals of racing age, and FP has out of his 9 crops.
