No, the point of the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act is to eliminate the unnecessary middle man out of the loan process and therefore cut the federal deficit by $87 billion over 10 years.

This asshole just said he would like the bankers, the ones funding his reelection, to become the middlemen in the student loan business, again. That way they can get free money by charging obscene interests rates on federal student loans. Right now if you want a student loan you go through the government, no muss no fuss. The banks want to get in the middle, do absolutely nothing, collect money from you and the government, jack up your interests rates and saddle you with debt until you die. wtf!

How sad is it that we as a country have said no to healthcare & education....and we say yes to allowing the government (via the Arizona Immigration Law) to detain & arrest people on suspicion they may be an illegal immigrant. Makes me almost ashamed to have been a soldier, yet so glad to no longer serve.
