"The iPad 2 is equivalent to a supercomputer from the 1980s. Now, accept my next point without question even though it is completely unrelated."

What is the problem in running app, not installing it? it is a matter of some OS development. Binary can, actually, be fired faster than web, since web needs several html, js, css files.

One of the webs better features was run anywhere (with a lot of effort), it's near instant "install" and always up to date feature set.

As we move towards take your platform anywhere that part becomes diminished but the install and update paradigm are still problematic, at least at the same level of frequency as the web.

One downside is the disparate nature of the platforms (apple, google, windows, amazon) that needs to be worked out in some way at least from the production end.

Voice Recognition will allow 85 percent of the planet who cannot type to use the Internet, maybe that is the next breakthrough.
