Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is almost completely incoherent except when he is personally attacking Hitchens and Dawkins. This is not one of the few high-minded debaters Mr Hitchens engaged with in his lifetime, this man is virtually (or possibly literally, it's thankfully hard to tell) frothing at the mouth. He is so interested in attacking Hitchens that he can neither stay on topic, nor make any relevant points.

At first I hated that Hitchens wasn't calling out Shmuley on fallacy after fallacy, on every RIDICULOUS connection he tried to make...

...but I see now how brilliant he was not to directly call Shmuley out. Hitchens saves time by assuming the audience knows better, and instead simply advances his point. Like a hockey team not allowing themselves to be lured into fights when they are ahead in the game anyway, Hitchens gives us enough credit to know the rabbi is full of shit, and moves on. Great
