With Gore instead of Bush, there's a good chance that there would have been no 9/11, no war in Afghanistan, no war in Iraq, no needless tax cuts for the wealthy, and no squandering of historic surpluses and turning them into historic deficits. So of course there are differences, usually major ones. Yes, our political system in its current form is inherently corrupt and it compromises so many of the politicians, but there are still differences and one's vote can still mean everything.
