The word Zionism is derived from the word Zion, which is another name for Israel. Zionism means "The Return to Israel". a Zionist is a jew that lives outside of Israel and wants to come back, or to a jew who lives in Israel and loves it (patriotic).
That's it, nothing more than that.
There isn't any hidden agenda or something like that. Racism is hating someone because of his race. therefor, Zionism isn't realy Racism.

I don't think I wrote about a hidden agenda. It is quite out in the open. According to Merriam-Webster = "a theory, plan or movement for setting up a Jewish national or religious community in Palestine" is Zionism. It is that national community, regardless of anyone already living in Palestine, that is very similar to colonialism (which is usually racist).

The key word is "colonialism" which is "the extension of a nation's sovereignty over territory beyond its borders by the establishment of either settler or exploitation colonies in which indigenous populations are directly ruled, displaced, or exterminated".

The Jews did't have a nation before current Israel for 2000 years, so you can't define it as colonialism.
And more importent, how can you say that people who RETURN to their homeland is colonialism? are you that full of hate?

The neocons were democrats that came over and are not financial conservatives. They don't give a damn how much the gov. spends or how many american lives are lost as long as Jews is protected. The southern Fundamentalist came over to the GOP after LBJ started civil right legislation. Now that hating blacks is unpopoular they hate science and push protection of the jews because they believe the bible tells them they should. There is no logic to it. What they are doing together is sad.

Hi Ponerology - you're correct, some in the DEM and GOP blindly protect Israil. But the Dems don't have the Neocons booadcasting on fox news or in newpapers. The neocons also uccesfully lead those fundamentaist christians into protecting the Jews. The fundamentist read the book of reveluations and think they must. These nutts put us in danger over a book that sounds like it was writting by a guy on LSD. They risk our young peoples lives over unproven myths. Necoms have a much darker reason.
