my lizard jumping

he smells cookies...

I think that is so cute...I caught one on my railing at my house during the early winter. I love this sweet lilttle guy. I would like to get another one so they can mate. Do all pet stores have them? I see the their lifespan is only 3 years, which made me feel sad. I seen my lizard jumping and thought that was so cute I realize he/she is looking to get close to the light I put on top of the screen. ...my lizard makes me smile..I am happy he/she came to visit me.

yeah i just got a western fence lizard yesterday hes named spike cuz his scales r like spikes. he wont drink i misted the walls like u would with an anole i put some water in a little cup i cut but he wont drink!

what ttype of heat lamps do they need?

one that supplies uva/uvb.

what other stuff do they need in their cage? do blue bellys like a bowl of water or to be misted?

i left a bowl of water but only once saw him drink anything. just put a wet papertowl in with the crickets before u feed them and the lizard can get its moisture from it. they also need a place to hide. search google for western fence lizard care sheet

if its really that small, you can start it off on flightless fruit flies. once its a little bigger you can move up to small crickets... both are available at petco/petsmart. the general rule is whatever they eat has to be smaller than the width between their eyes.
