[solved] Strange behaviour when i map an endless knob from my mpd24 to the 'Deck Seek Position' control of Native instruments Traktor 3 (demo).
When i start to turn the knob, the seek position sets off in the opposite direction, as if it remembers the direction it was turned in last time. If i continue to turn the knob, the seek position movement slows down and then starts to accelerate in the correct direction.
If i stop turning the knob and turn in the opposite direction the same thing happens.
This problem doesn't happen if I map the mpd24 knob to a traktor knob (eg. master level). It only seems to affect the seek position.
Traktor bug? user error? Any thoughts/help much appreciated.
(Traktor 3 demo, Akai MPD24 connected to macbook via usb).
solution: It turns out that selecting 'analog fader/knob' as the midi control type for the mpd's knobs solves the problem.
hey man, i just bought a mpd24 for use with traktor 3, and i can't seem to get any midi signals from the mpd24. traktor recognizes it as a midi device, actually as three midi devices, but when i try using the learn feature in midi setup, there is no response from traktor when i hit a pad or something. did you have to update any preset files on the mpd24? or create new ones? or did yours work outtta the box? any help would be appreciated. pm me if you like or respond here please. much appreciated
