She's Got A Way About Her

Billy Joel sings about the Blessed Mother. I bet you didn't know he was Catholic, did you? (I know he's not really, but the song fits quite well wouldn't you say?)

I simply can not understand how anyone can love Jesus & not have heart overflowing w/ praise for His mother.
" The Lord your God is in your midst a warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you w/ gladness, he will renew youin his love; He will exult over you w/ loud singing as on a day of festival." -Zeph. 3:17-18 RSV
If God holds singing festivals in honor of Mary, who are we to say He is wrong.

People love Mary but to pray to her and use her a a co-mediator. Jesus said he was the only way to the Father. To say Mary is too, is calling Jesus a lier. The focus on Mary and what she does is from Satan " the great deceiver" Pray to only God and not mary.

"All generations will call ME blessed." Luke 1: 48 Are you not a generation? Do you call her blessed? I mean make it a practice, your church, Protestantism generally? Her you have the Bible commanding you to do something & you wish to explain it away. Something is better then nothing. Atleast the Catholic Church is trying to fullfill God's word here.
Besides Jesus fullfilled the command to honor your father & mother.
We are all co-mediators w/ Christ. He spreads his grace through us.

Calling her blessed is one thing, giving her power and calling her Perfect is totally another. We respect mary with all of our heart. But I worship only God and will never idolize a human being. God says not to add words ho his word. I am not here convince you other wise. People can believe what they want. But I hate seeing Satan run the catholic church, that is why I left the church. God is almighty and Mary was human. You said it right sir, Mary was blessed because she had jesus.

God not to "add to or subtract" from his word. When you ignore scriptures entirely, you are subtracting. In the scriptures, people fall on their knees & bow to kings. This not condemned, they are honored (not worshipped) according to their rank. A private does not worship a general. It is God who gave her power & calls her perfect.

Religion does not cause these things. People do. People who wish to control others gain power in a powerful group - any group (religious, corporate, political, union, education, etc.) and then use their power to control and abuse. Religion is the vehicle of bad people, it is not the cause of anything.
