Whether you come as a political protest or just for a fun bike parade, join the critical mass. The last Friday of every month from your local city square.
Huzzah for pedal power! Road bikes, mountain bikes, tall bikes, long bikes, choppers, cruisers, fixies, penny farthings, rollerbladers, skateboarders, unicycles - they're all awesome.
"Who's streets? Our streets" "Less gas, more ass" "KaBlammo !"
Suggestion for you. You talking to your boss: "Hey, boss. I know this bike ride thing that happens the last Friday of the month. I was hoping that I could check it out with my family once. It might be a fun way to start the weekend with my wife and kids. How about it?" Try it. You might like it! : )
why dont you fcuking protest at 4am on a tuesday? streets alot safer for you then... you already have a cute little lane all to yourself. right next to the sewer. where your front tire belongs to get jammed in there. I have nothing wrong with bikers doing their own thing, and obeying the rules of the road, and keeping to themselves, but fcuk. what an annoyance this C-Mass is. you dont see car's protesting, and jamming up bike paths now do you?
I see cars parked in bike lanes all the time (especially on Dunsmuir where the bike lane widens, there's almost always a car or taxi blocking it there).
Or when turning right on a street with a bike lane, cars will often block the bike lane while slowly changing into the right lane.
or mabe you could ride in the suberbs or buy a car...
