**********NEWS************

We have begun a non-profit foundation recently in honor and memory of Kyle. (please view our new video on YouTube.) You can find the webpage here - http://www.kyledavidmiller.org
Our mission is to keep children in a 5pt safety harness up to 80lbs - we are accepting applications from families who cannot afford to purchase these car seats and are supplying those seats through the tax-free donations you can make through the site. We also have car seat safety information posted and will answer any question you have on car seat safety through the contact webpage. Please visit the site and help keep as many children safe as we can.

Please note that the Britax Regent, Britax Frontier and Sunshine Kids Radian 80 are the ONLY 3 car seats that harness up to 80 pounds. There is a lot of confusion about this because some car seats will convert to a booster and show a higher weight limit but that weight limit is for the booster mode, not the 5-point harness mode. If you do not have one of these 3 seats, please check your car seat manual if your child is over 40 pounds and you want to keep them in a 5-point harness to make sure your seat allows it.

***NEW NEWS***

Please visit HipMonkey.com and help support children in need through your purchase!

Video Info:
My son was killed in a car accident last year because a senile, 78 year old woman ran a red light and hit us causing us to flip into a ditch. Kyle's seatbelt came unlatched during the roll and he was ejected. His seatbelt was later examined by several experts who determined it was faulty and told me that seatbelts can and do fail, especially in roll over accidents. I had no idea that seatbelts could fail and think that this is something everyone should be made aware of. The government also needs to be more strict about making sure the people they issue licenses to are fit to drive...

I was just trying to search online to check the owners manual to my daughters car seat because I thought she should be using the booster part. She is 4 and 37 lbs. Her car seat says to use the seat belt at 40 lbs. We wont be doing that. Thanks for the tip on the Britax. My hubby will be annoyed, and he's the type of person who thinks things wont happen to us, but oh well, we will be getting that seat. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and Bless your family.

I also see my son in these pictures. What a great act - to provide us the knowledge they wished they had been given. Our children are irreplaceable and ignorance can be so costly.

Thank you for your website! It has so much valuable information.

I researched and purchased the Radian 80 seat because of its weight capacity. His head bobs when he sleeps but upright position is preferred. I will be avoiding the booster seat and keeping him safe in it as long as the seat can hold him. Much love....

I haven't cried in years yet here I am sobbing like a baby... I see my own little boy in those pictures. You people are very strong, I could not survive losing my child. It would be the end of me and I wouldn't want to go on.. I love him that much. I'm so sorry for your loss and can't even fathom the loss you feel. I'm buying one of those seats for my boy when he's old enough, He's in the Britax Meridian now. Kyle is with God now. You'll see him again someday.

A britax five point harness goes up to 70 lbs. I am soo sorry for your loss. I was just about to sell my britax because my daughter (4) was approaching 40 lbs and i thought the harness was cumbersome for her and me. She WILL be in that five point harness until she can no longer fit the weight.
It was expensive, but my child is priceless.

Please check your manual and the stickers on your seat. I don't know where you are, but in the US and Canada I know there are no Britax seats that go to 70lbs. They have convertibles that go to 40, 50, and 65lbs. As well as two forward facing only seats that go to 80lbs. Using the seat over the weight limit is very dangerous as the harness may not hold the additional weight.
