because the performance speed is way way faster than real life, it could cause misleading so they banned it

It's not sped up. It's all just pre-cached. It's just saying it's faster, but they had to fit it all in to a 30 second ad and show enough of the product at the same time.

And they've carefully said 3G is fast. Not the iPhone itself. More like 3G is fast, and it's now on the iPhone rather than Edge.
