I've seen this movie a hundred times, and I still find something new that I missed before. All hail Jacques Tati, one of the all time greats, and my favorite film maker. Tip for Tati Newbies: don't watch Play Time with subtitles, as dialogue is rarely of consequence and can usually be inferred. Tati movies are not about dialogue and plot. Its statements are made through set design, sound, and actor movement -- specifically Tati's feet. It's all in his steps. Amen to Jacques Tati!
