If 242 REQUIRES what Arabs NOW say it does, then why did Israel immediately accept 242 & the Arab League REJECT it in 1967? In fact, the Arabs WANTED it to say that Israel must unconditionally withdraw from ALL land occupied in 'the 67 war. That was rejected. Instead 242, was a NON-BINDING Chapter 6 recomendatory resolution, which its framers (Caradon & Goldstein) said DID NOT require Israel to unilaterally withdraw; it required the Arabs to agree to peace with borders to be negotiated.
