Scott McConnell was thrown out of a graduate school program at LeMoyne College. His offense? Two sentences in a paper that otherwise earned him an A- grade. For his opinions on multiculturalism and corporal punishment, McConnell was unceremoniously booted from school.
McConnell's compelling case didn't make it into the film because we didn't get enough footage to finish telling the story, which explains the somewhat abrupt end of this video.
So much for "Quality in Jesuit Education." What a crock! I feel bad for this student. I hope he wins the biggest lawsuit against this college in history.

i'm surprised he even graduated from high school. why these rednecks think their culture is so superior so that foreigners should wipe out vestiges of their own culture is beyond me. just his breathing and eating are a waste of resources. thought like his only breeds hate and contempt. it is understandable why LeMoyne College did what it did. undoubtedly such ignorance is a crime.

Don't you know that you aren't allowed to endeavour a post secondary education if you are a conservative? The liberal cannot debate if they can't say that only uneducated people have conservative views.
I was freshman at Le Moyne when I first heard about this. I must say, though, that that "rigid frame of political orthodoxy" wasn't usually that evident on campus. In my experience, it was a fairly politically-moderate school, with professors generally considerate of disparate viewpoints.
As a political sci major, I of course can't speak for the Education department's rationale. It's unfortunate that administration chose such a tack against Mr. McConnell. But Le Moyne isn't East Germany.
