Silly conspiracy theorists.

The conspiracy concept is a farce.

This is not about some sort of secret plot by which Americans surrendered their liberty.

It is about the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and its worldwide efforts to subvert democracy.

Mark JFK's words"For it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local.."

JFK knew that he could not name names and that he was facing an "imminent" and powerful entrenched Conspiracy of the Secret Brotherhood.

If he was worried about the USSR, he would not have suggested talking to the latter about Alien craft seized by the US military that refused to release the truth to the public.

He deserves it

When he says "It is no longer far away", he is talking about the shrinking world and the news. Here is the full quote:

This means [we need] greater coverage and analysis of international news--for it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local. It means greater attention to improved understanding of the news as well as improved transmission.

It had NOTHING to do with conspiracy. It had EVERYTHING to do with the USSR.

Try reading the actual speech. Then talk.

The language hear refers to an age as well as an era. Conservatives refer to communism as a secret brotherhood.

Reagan called the Communist movement the "Evil empire" harkening to the Dark Lord Emperor and his red cloaked advisors in dark corners plotting domination.

Which is exactly what they were doing.. they even bragged about it.  It was dark and sinister and their methods were secret but their existence and their goals were public and well known.

But it is there penchant for anti-democratic subversive processes that Kennedy was referring to.

Oaths are often made by Masons, Illuminati and what have you as a means of invoking the deity or Lucifer to be involved in the personal commitment process.

I am unaware of communists invoking a spiritual element and in requiring oath taking.

That's news to me.

I like to believe the Establishment view.

But this is stretching things a little outside the box.

There is of course always a new angle to anything.

After all, we could be seeing America being taken by the Empire of its own making :(
