The hit itself was not an elbow or anything illegal, but it is frowned upon. Taking someone out is one thing(especially if their head is down), but purposely going for one's head is classeless.

As for the EMT's, I don't know who trained them, but I can think of two EMT workers that were fired on the morning of 2/27/94.
