He was PROBABLY quoting the Clown played by John Leguizamo in 'SPAWN': "You're dead. D-E-D. Dead." The guy is obviously well-educated and literate, with a wicked sense of humor....... Clown was wrong about Spawn being dead, so maybe Butcher IS foreshadowing by using that quote; or maybe he just used it as a retort to her pushing about Uncle Justin still being alive and manipulating things from behind the scenes. But he certainly doesn't spell dead 'D-E-D' because he doesn't know better. Geez.
Actually he spelled it D.E.D. Jim Butcher is an educated person and it's obvious that he's the kind of person who would lay out a clue or some subtle foreshadowing such as this from his books. Also he changes his wording from of course he is dead to he's dead ded dead. He would not have included DuMorne and given so much detail in more than one book if he wasn't going to play an important role. I think it's either an Acronym or a hint that he's dead for now though Necromancy can change that.
