thats right ...after 9 hours he wasn't legally drunk then. and I don't see ANY proof where he went and swam back...only his word...and killers aren't trust worthy.

You didn't read my comment. Everyone at the party testified. He'd had two drinks before dinner--a barbeque. He and Mary Jo left at 11:25PM. Just because you want to believe he was raging drunk and a murderer doesn't mean he was and he is. Is Laura Bush a murderer? No, she was involved in a tragic accident in which someone died. A lunatic winger might think she intentionally ran that stop sign in 1963.

It was a car accident. Skid marks, damage to the bridge with no guard rails. You know. A car accident. The judge trusted the initial assessment of drowning and didn't order an autopsy. They wanted to exhume to perform one later (they thought she asphyxiated by breathing in a tiny air pocket), but the Kopechnes hired a lawyer to block them. Evidently it wasn't 'the law' in 1969.

The FBI files are on line. Don't get too excited about 'Al Patterson' before you read the Watergate reference.

9 hours for him to get her help...the fact that they didn't do an autopsy tells you something was fishy. how do you KNOW the judge did the right thing? for all we know the judge was in favor of ANY kennedy doing anything. assessment????? an autopsy would have proved that. my assessment is that he killed her...but then we'll never know...now will we??

He escaped the car, got swept away by the tide, swam to shore, yelled her name, swam back and dove repeatedly against a swift current until it became physically impossible for him to do it anymore. He lay spent on the bank then stumbled back to the party for help. Two more people dove repeatedly. Three hours later, after she was long dead, they left the scene, for which he was convicted. 'Leaving the scene.' An inquest, testimony from everyone at the party, no DUI, no manslaughter.

A family comes to the hospital to see their once healthy US Marine son dying with burns over most of his body, his limbs missing, his face burned off and blinded in both eyes. For a month, he painfully clings on to life. I heard their visits day after day. Finally, the boy dies to his weeping family.

Prosecute Bush for deaths because he lied to get us into Iraq. Prosecute Cheney's companies for fraud and for dead Marines due to their dishonesty -( I'm using the "YOU'RE ANOTHER" argument.)
