The Wasatch Figure Skating Club was formed to promote the sport of figure skating in the Weber County area. The memberships consists of all ages; toddlers through senior citizens, and abilities; basic skills through national competitors. The Club holds skating sessions on Wednesday evenings for 2 hours during the skating season. Throughout the year, the club also hosts test sessions to evaluate skater's skills. Our Winter Ice show highlights skaters of all ages and abilities. Everyone looks forward to the Spring Exhibition where individual skaters have an opportunity to perform for the community. The annual Special Olympic skating competition is also hosted by the WFSC each spring. The Wasatch Figure Skating Club is a large group of people who enjoy many aspects of skating. The mission of Wasatch Figure Skating Club is to encourage and promote figure skating. Provide personal growth and development opportunities to its members using tests, competitions and performances as success indicators. To develop individual character, good sportsmanship and respect for each other, as well as respect for all levels of achievement. Provide an atmosphere to develop fraternal feelings and build self esteem. Serve as positive role models, developing an air of professionalism and good manners. Support community outreach to realize objectives of the club, with strong communication to families and other club members.
