I started playing the Qanoon at age 6.
My father, Mohammed Qahwaji, who is a professional Qanoonist taught me the basics. I loved the music and I loved the instrument so much. I used to practice long hours daily.
When I went to elementary school in my city Mesiaf, I was sponsored by the music Teacher Mr. Mohammed Tyba, and I used to participate in the school concerts.
Mesiaf had always many great musical talents.
I was graduated from the Music college in city of Homs, and currently, I am teaching the Qanoon in the college.
