Later returned as a civilian video contractor, providing services to Clark's
MWR-recreation center 1987 ~ 'til Mt. Pinatubo '91..

Ugh I miss the Philippines!
I was there in 86-89 and was 11 years old.
We returned to the United States.
I still miss my 11 yr old Girlfriend there!
i just hope to find her someday.

I was statoned at Clark 84-88 and still go back every other year. Those were probably the best years of my life. Peso rate of 20 or more. We had great housing, warm climate, lots of...companionship. Even the barracks life had to be the best in the AF. It's depressing now to drive around the base and see the Cocunut Grove gone (burned). The Kelly Theatre was torn down. Hill area housing that wasn't detroyed by Pinatubo is in ruins and the jungle is really taking it back. Many areas were renovated and some businesses are doing well. Most didn't. But I love the place still and these videos you posted really take me back. Once you get that place in your blood it's hard let go. Great page. Take care.
