I have no formal training in Tabla. I learned Tabla by watching others play and looking for the language in the books and trying to find letters for what I play. These lessons may be useful to beginners. These lessons can not replace a teacher and formal training. There may be variations in the letters I use as different parts of the country(India) have different styles. Hope these are useful. I advise you connect a good speaker system to the computer to listen to these videos. With the built in speakers of the computer or normal speakers the sound especially that of Dugga (left) is not audible. I am very grateful to the response from all of you. Nobody is perfect. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Please do leave you comments. Apologies for not being able to reply to all your queries.
