Old time Northwest style fiddling by champion fiddler Vivian Williams and her husband, Phil, and videos of other Pacific Northwest fiddlers.
Vivian is a prominent Pacific Northwest fiddler, and expert in the pioneer fiddle dance styles and music of the Far West, as well as square, Grange, and ballroom dance playing. Winner of many fiddle contest, local, state, national, international. Owner of Voyager Recordings, a fiddle recording label and publisher of fiddle tune books and instructional materials.
Phil Williams plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, fiddle, etc., is a founder of the Washington Oldtime Fiddle Association, Northwest Folklife, and more. Operates Voyager Recordings studio. Has produced over 100 CDs and albums. Co-Author of "Professional Microphone Techniques," and noted backup player on mandolin, guitar, and bass for many bands and performers, including Tall Timber, the Turkey Pluckers, Williams & Bray, Bill Monroe, Rose Maddox, and many, many Western fiddlers. Has taught at many Western fiddle camps. A major documenter of the fiddle style, tunes, traditional dances, and dance fiddling history of the Pacific Northwest.
