Vishnu learns carnatic vocal lessons from Mrs Vydehi Sudharshan (Fremont. CA). This song (based on Ragam Aarabhi) was taught by her during his vocal classes, but vishnu tries to play those songs on the keyboard. Most of what he plays on the keyboard is self-taught and comes pretty naturally to him. Making him start playing the keyboard is the toughest part, but once he starts playing and gets warmed up, he loves to play the carnatic tunes and lessons. He has accompanied me once, on the keyboard, for a hindi light music show too (with small pieces here and there). This was played with Korg Triton keyboard using portamento and pitchbend techniques.
