Ecesu SERTESEN was born in 1987 on September 8th in Sariyer/Istanbul. She went to the primary school between 1993 and 1994 in Yalova Bahçelievler Primary School. She continued her education until 1998 in Sariyer Primary School and she finished there. In 1998 she entered the hearing exams of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatoire. As a result of the exam she succeeded and entered the Conservatoire of Clarinet Art Branch. She has been playing in school orchestras for 9 years. By now she took part in many symphony and concerto forms as Group Chief, 1st Clarinet, and 2nd Clarinet. She continues her studies as solo recitals and chamber music concerts. Last year, Ecesu SERTESEN who is one of the founders of chamber music composed of four clarinets, in 2005 on 19th May had a live performance with the group of chamber music for 3 hours in the program "Genç Bakis" that Esra SERT presents. Moreover, she joined the master course of globally famous clarinet artist Chen HALEVI, who came to our country to act in concert, in 2003, 2004 and 2005 with the reference of Cem MANSUR. She joined the two concerts actively in Akbank Art Center on 17th-18th-19th-20th October 2005 arranged by Katharina WEBER, Erika RADERMACHER, Elefteria ASKITOGLU and Pierre MARIETAN that are Workshops aimed at improvisation and on 21st October 2005 taking part in studies of John CAGE, Pierre MARIETAN, Pauline OLIVEROS, Katharina WEBER and Erika RADERMACHER. Ecesu SERTESEN on 29th January 2006 was the guest of Defne SARISOY who presents "Güzel Pazar" on NTV and joined the conversation about her soloist career. On 17th and 18th November 2005 she became the third (3rd) winner in "2nd International Young Virtuosos Competition" arranged by Lubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia the capital of Bulgaria. On 13rd - 17th May 2006 she entered "Jeunesses Musicales Music Competition" and she joined the two special Masterclass actively. She worked with Vlad WEVERBERGH, Cosmas PAPADOUPOULOS, Petko RADEV. On 2nd February 2007 she studied with Sabine MEYER and Reiner WEHLE in Istanbul.. Ecesu SERTESEN who is the sophomore as an undergraduate student in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatoire right now continues her studies with her teacher H. Feza ÇETIN.
