Please leave the annotations on while watching this entire video. I've added a few important points that I forgot to mention while I was recording the video.
First and foremost. I take no responsibility for any damage done if you attempt this process. This is a simple "how to" for anyone who wants to attempt to fix their PS3 their self instead of paying Sony $150.
Having said that, I've had a lot of people ask for a video of doing a reflow on a PS3 after getting the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death) so I decided to make a video of the process.
If you are not sure of your own ability's then do not attempt this. Just pay someone to do it for you or spend the money and send it into Sony.
I had to split this video into two parts so be sure to check out part 2 after this video finishes.
Here is a link to a really good manual wrote by gilksy if you would rather have pictures. http://boardsus.p...

Part Two of Video. View part one first to create the magic memory stick. This part outlines creating the Pandora battery. The files you need for parts 1 and 2 of this tutorial can be found here: http://pandorabat...

If you have a question, send me a message through youtube. I have a busy schedule so I don't check very often, but when I do, I try to answer most questions. I will IGNORE questions such as "where can I download the files???" or "what is CFW??" or questions that are ALREADY directly answered in the video and/or the description.
Also, most of you may be wondering why you need to have CFW already just to make these things, which only let you install CFW....it's like a loop that you don't know how to get into. Don't ask me what the point is of making a pandora battery / magic stick if you already have CFW. It might be to help a friend.
For those of you that are watching this video and have a PSP with official Sony firmware on it, this video WILL NOT help you. Look else where on how to get custom firmware. There might be ways to get CFW on your PSP without a pandora battery. OR WHAT YOU COULD DO is purchase a pandora battery and magic memory stick off the internet and use it on your official firmware PSP to install custom firmware on it.
