Hi. I'm coming from the Eastern Orthodox tradition and wanted to comment on your videos about transubstantiation. While I think it would be appropriate to say that all churches of the Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox traditions adhere to the doctrine of the Real Presence, that the fullness of the hypostatic union becomes present in the Eucharist, body, blood, soul, and divinity, I don't think it would be entirely appropriate to say that we teach "transubstantiation". The Roman Catholic tradition asserts that the bread and wine substantially and transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ, no longer being substantially bread and wine but only appearing to be "in accidents", essentially asserting that the bread and wine are annihilated. None of the Eastern churches have fully jumped on this bandwagon, but rather continue to affirm the Real Presence while avoiding any dogmatizing of further speculations.
