WAS THIS MASS MURDER? ATROCITIES AGAINST MANKIND? SHOULD THE U.S.A BE HELD RESPONSABLE? DO THE VICTIMS OR SURVIVORS DESERVE SOME FORM OF AN APOLIGY? SHOULD THERE HAVE BEEN MORE THOUGHT IN THE BOMBING OF INOCENT CIVILIANS? WHERE THEY INNOCENT? GIVE YOUR OPINION!

The Hiroshima bomb, known as "Little Boy" - a reference to former President Roosevelt, contained the equivalent of between 12 and 15,000 tons of TNT and devastated an area of five square miles (13 square kilometres). More than 60% of the buildings in the city were destroyed.
Official Japanese figures at the time put the death toll at 118,661 civilians. But later estimates suggest the final toll was about 140,000, of Hiroshima's 350,000 population, including military personnel and those who died later from radiation. Many have also suffered long-term sickness and disability.

About 30% of Nagasaki, including almost all the industrial district was destroyed by the bomb and nearly 74,000 were killed and a similar number injured.
The bomb, nick-named "Fat Man" in a reference to Winston Churchill, measured just under 3.5m (11ft 4in) in length, had the power of 22 kilotons of TNT and weighed 4,050kg (9,000lbs). Residents of both cities are still suffering the physical and mental consequences of radiation to this day. I do not blame any of the crew of Enola Gay for there action's as they where following orders from upperhand. The atombomb was in my opinion a show of strength, as in DON'T MESS WITH US OR YOU WILL BE NUKED. The only setback in this idea was that the russians where developing there own A-Bomb which kickstarted the coldwar. The A-Bomb ended the second worldwar but it cost dearly, the question is, where all other option's looked at and was Hiroshima not just a testing ground for the US military to see the real impact on human's (civilians) . I would like you all to sit back and imagine if the then mighty ussr would have nuked Afghanistan what our reaction would have been. And another question for you, why did the USA not nuke North Vietnam? or North Korea? . We have been so close to total extinction since then, the world was hanging on a string in the 60's with the Cuba crisis. Let's hope there never used again.
