Mr. Brooks,
I spent many an hour listening to the Super Session album and learning from you.
The band I was in at the time played Season of the Witch, Super Session style, horns and all.
May you live long and prosper.
Your influence has spread far and wide and continues to grow.
You will never be forgotten.
Play on, brother.
Best Regards,
KC

I went to Martin Van Buren High School and played guitar in the high school dance band with Harvey...... Lived in the same Veterans Co-op around the block from Harvey..... He came to my house several times and taught me some tunes on the guitar.... He inspired me to get better and I wound up in the wedding -bar mitzvah circuit on Long Island.... My name is Malcolm Kaufman if you happen to take a look at this, Harvey. When he started playing the bass he had a natural touch on it from the get go..... Harvey is very friendly and mellow.

As you know Harvey, I 1st heard you on the Super Session album. That is when I realized the importance of the Bass guitar. You played in such a way that it drew listeners in to what you were doing. I can't look at a Fender Bass and not think of you. :-) TZ

The summary above of course fails to include
the Mike Bloomfield-Al Kooper 1968 album
"Super Session", a grand showcase for
Mr. Brooks in a blues-rock ensemble.
Just dig those bass lines on "Holy Modal"...
Exquisite....
