Neon Genesis Evangelion has one very epic opening sequence. From the song to the almost subliminal visuals this OP (and the series itself) is truly revolutionary. To my disappointment though, GAINAX didn't create a remake of the OP even though they managed to copy the first 6 episodes of the original anime almost religiously in the recent first Rebuild of Evangelion movie. Thankfully, the great otakus of Japan and the world are coming up with unique homages of this great OP. Even when the original is already around 13 years old, the parodies still keep coming.
