Steve brings in his camera to a YMCA TRIMA club swim on May 15, 2007 for the first time and experiments with different ways of capturing some underwater and above water action. These movies were shot at the fast frame rate of 60 frames/second, except for the birdseye view shot using the default 30 fps. The faster rate is the way to go for technique analysis, but it adds quite a bit to the size of the movie. Underwater visibility was not great for this filming, a consequence of being indoors with suboptimal lighting. In an outdoor pool with clear water on a sunny day is where you really want to for this. Maybe we'll all do a field trip some day.
