Performers, please respect my time and talents, and do not use my high-quality videos as free promotion to get paying gigs. My M.O. is simple. I watch videos. So I share videos. The purpose is that show-goers can enjoy, performers can share with family and friends, and others who can't make it can see what's going on. Post-season, it serves as a document of our time spent at Cedar Point. It's been nice hearing from people who now share videos because I have. Now I can watch shows that I missed in HD quality. It's also been nice hearing from show-goers and performers. An unexpected benefit of sharing the videos of shows at an amusement park that I genuinely like, and is esthetically interesting since I'm a graphic designer. Future taping note: My expensive Sony camcorder wore out after seven years of heavy use. I currently use a small Canon PowerShot with a 1GB card (12 min capacity) to share clips that "capture the spirit of the thing." It's still fun to do in a limited capacity. I don't plan on replacing it with an HD camcorder soon. Archival Note: I've deleted older videos. Keeping those of the performers I know well personally, who don't use them for promotion. Technical note: The videos were uploaded prior to youtube offering HD. Viewers can change the video playback option from 360p to 480p in the pop-up menu in the lower right of each video when available. It makes a difference in picture quality.
