Castlevania Rock - with vertexguy on guitar! vertexguy - 5,518 views - 1 month ago
This is me performing Castlevania Rock with Video Games Live in Loveland Colorado, 2009. In this performance I brought my own style to the mix and really amped things up. It rocks extra hard with duel guitars! There's really nothing like getting to play Castlevania music live with an orchestra! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did! For more cool stuff visit my site at www.vertexguy.com!

The songs covered in the arrangement are: Beginning - Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse, Wicked Child - Castlevania, Vampire Killer - Castlevania, Moonlight Nocturne - Symphony of the Night

Hidenori Maezawa hears vertexguy play Contra Jungle Jam vertexguy - 8,753 views - 5 months ago
This is an excerpt from 1Up's interview with Hidenori Maezawa, one of the composers of the amazing NES soundtrack to Contra. Towards the end of the video, they play the Contra Jungle Jam for him and talk about the remix. It's an amazing honor for me to see the composers reaction to my work. Many thanks to Jeremy Parish for doing such a fantastic interview! For the complete interview, check out http://www.1up.com/do/newsStor y?cId=3172388

Castlevania music - Video Games Live Tylkon - 317 views - 2 months ago
Performed by the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, Vertex Guy, and Tommy Tallarico. This video ends about ten seconds before the song did (ran out of memory on my camera), this is still an epic piece.

Video Games Live - Final Fantasy 7 OWA with guitar! vertexguy - 200,597 views - 2 years ago
This is me playing Final Fantasy 7 One Winged Angel at the Video Games Live concert in San Francisco, March 9th, 2007. For those who were there, you may remember that the guitars were very hard to hear in the mix. To fix this, I overdubbed my part on top of this so you can all actually hear what I was playing. If we do this again we'll incorporate drums and bass next time along with the guitar which should make it even more exciting. Koji Kondo and everyone else who performed that night appear at the end to take a bow.

Video Game Guitar Videos
About Me: I was born and raised in Yankton, South Dakota. Grew up addicted to video games and knew from an early age that I wanted to be involved in the game industry in anyway possible. I later went to the Art Institute of Phoenix in 2000 to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Game Art & Design. I met Trina, the love of my life, my final year of college. She's a rare beauty who's incredibly sweet, great with kids, and an excellent cook! I started my career in the industry as an artist / audio engineer and have been here ever since. I also have a fondness for classic video game soundtracks and have recreated several of my own versions on guitar. I'm now a father of two boys, Chandler and Brennan. It's been quite the lifestyle change but they're a blast to be around. I can't wait till they're able to pick up a guitar. :)

I really like your Contra and Duke Nukem covers. It just came to me, the music on the first level of Rise of the Triad would also sound really good on guitar, although it's a little repetitive.

Dude your Duke Nukem cover is just freaking amazing! It is the best I have seen on the internet as of yet. I was wondering if I could get the tabs, since I saw it said you were working on them. And if not, that is cool too, at least send me the bit from 0:48 to 1:10 ... :) I wanna learn to play that riff, but your tabbing is unique to anything I can find on the net.

I have been enjoying your covers champ. I especially enjoyed your Contra cover and watching the interview with Hidenori Maezawa. I tracked down the original midi sounds, but then discovered your cover version which breathed in fresh life XD. Will definitely need to keep an eye out on you lol XD.

Hi Vertexguy.
Now that 3D-REALMS are turning the key and closing down their businees, then I thaught you could make my dream come true. PLEASE make an Mp3 of your Duke Nukem Jam. It just takes me back to the good old Duke-Days, and you absolutely ROCK btw! I totally get goose-bumps whenever I hear your solo on the guitar.
