At Vancity Community Foundation, we take very seriously our role as a catalyst for positive change in communities. We have worked with hundreds of community organizations to effect such change, as we believe that together, more becomes possible. The VCF Community Stories video shows the compounding effect of even a small initial grant. Two of our favourite examples are presented, focused on the support for local food systems (through Farm Folk / City Folk with Vancouver Farmers Markets) and the inspiring social enterprise, United We Can, which supports recycling and job creation in Vancouvers downtown eastside.
