There is no ultra distance running event in the world longer than the Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race. Instead of crossing a large expanse of country side it all takes place on one small block in Queens NY. It gives those runners taking part a unique perspective of the tiny fragment of urban landscape that they are part of for almost 2 months.
