your dvd of real turkish music was a great find. I'll listen often. And, there seem to be quite a few for the youtubers to watch, listen , and enjoy. I'm not into politics or religion and I don't associate music of this type
wilth either one. My comments are strictly aimed at the music which are performed by the musicians.
As a dancer for many years (raqs sharqi), I still find that Turkish music is far more oriental that most of the
Middle Eastern countries world wide. Yolu can just listen of even dance if you feel the music from inside.
I am a male and have been drawn to the music of the orient since childhood and later as an adult. Although I love Arabic music, it's the music of Turkey which says it all - at least to me.
