DarthCipient, the verse Charlton Heston reads is from an edited version of a chapter in the Novel Jurassic Park soly written by Michael Crichton, (I talked directly with Michael Crichton not long before his recent untimely death) and he did not say what you claim I credited to "Malcolm", in my comment,... I did. Read it again. I was referring to the liberal belief, which is the basis of many environmentalist claims and government actions by so called 'do-gooders' that have good intents but end up penalizing capitalism and prosperty both out of consequence and often purpose. This is a direct result of the falacy of 'man made' global warming espoused by liberals and the liberal media. That was my opinion and of course is not in the book. There are many good books out ther that dispute the 'man made' philosophy, I suggest that you acquire one.

The novel "Jurassic Park" doesn't say that climate change isn't man-made. Ian Malcolm says that man can only destroy themselves, but not destroy the planet. He says that if the ozone layer was damaged to the point where radiation from the Sun killed all humans, it would still cause mutation among surviving life and lead to flourishing new forms of life and the planet would still be here. Nor does Malcolm at any point discuss issues such as "penalising capitalism" or "liberal belief" or "do-gooding" being involved in the science of studying climate change at all.

YankinMichaine, you didn't listen or read the description. It's not about global warming and says nothing about that. Its about global climate change, and the absurbity that man is the cause of it and we can fix it, which is the liberal belief and the basis for hugh government programs to spends billions and expand governmental control and regulation. Its also the basis of environmentalist do-gooders to penalize capitalism and prosperity.

I listened to the Heston clip. It correctly points out that man can't destroy the earth or permanently eradicate all life on earth. So what? We certainly can destroy the world for humans as the clip acknowledges when it discusses nuclear war. I don't see how this clip argues against global warming, or even addresses it. I think true believers such as yourself sometimes see evidence where there is none.
