Good stuff... categorize it any way you like but it's simply a great, great song. DRI, Suicidal Tendencies and Cro-Mags all benefited from adding metal to their sounds and so did we.

@MansonNiles11 Yes, their metal stuff is absolutely brilliant but I even put Brighter Than a Thousand Suns into that category... one thing you hear over and over from casual fans is how much they like the vocals. To put it into perspective my other favorite bands of all time are Iron Maiden, Rus...

Anyone who wants to diss this album over their earlier efforts is just young, stupid and intolerant... and before long they're going to be old, stupid and intolerant.

@CynicalBrony They have three vocalists... two do most of the work but all three sing lead vocals.

I mostly listen to death metal and I consider this one of the most underrated and genius albums of all time. Hate to say it but the band themselves are fools for not appreciating it more.

Yes, you heard that right... death metal. I put Killing Joke's entire history up there with Amon Amarth's.

@iCakeify Isn't Lamb of God considered one of those? They're great but yeah, most of em suck royally.

Gah... I love Celtic Frost but most of this song royally sucks... at least the ending is epic.

@sretenka100 Not so much punk... even going back in time nearly 20 years this sound is very unique.

Good stuff... nobody in black/death metal has vocals like this anymore.

@stashproductions Yup... they're as similar as two bands can be. Basically Larry LaLonde is playing Slayer riffs along with his unique takes, dude is a legend...

@BadassAnons There's a difference between the first people to do something and the first people to do it right... this is why early Metallica is so revered. They didn't exactly invent anything, they just did it better than anyone else did and it took the rest of the world a long time to catch up.

@Ostinex733 Mostly it's a supremely talented guitar player and a perfect voice for death metal coming together... LaLonde definitely seems to prefer being seen as both a genius and a freak in Primus.

@slopoke2112 It's a fictional existence anyway... guarantee most of these bands had nothing to do with the occult beyond using the stories to make themselves a bit of money.
